Prof. Lugo's research topics include Border Studies; Latino/a Studies; Transnational Assembly Plants; Culture Theory; Gender Theory; Cultural Analysis of Everyday Life; Political Economy; Tansnationalism; Colonial and Post-Colonial Identities; Race and Ethnicity; Anthropology of Work; Popular Culture.   He holds a Ph.D. in anthropology from Stanford University, M.A. in anthropology from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, and B.A. in anthropology from New Mexico
State University.
